The ink is dry. The manuscript is complete. After years of research, late nights fueled by strong coffee and even stronger rum, “The Secrets of the Rebel” exists beyond the confines of my imagination. It’s a surreal feeling, one that brings a mix of exhilaration and terror in equal measure.

You see, reaching the end of a novel is only half the battle. The next chapter—the journey to publication—is a whole other beast. Do I self-publish, taking the reins and steering my own course? Or do I dare to dream of agents, publishing houses, and the allure of traditional publishing?

This is the question that keeps me up at night, the dilemma that has replaced the fictional world of Gino—my young, idealistic rebel who fought in the trenches of WWII only to find himself swept up in the fires of the Cuban Revolution—a world that has consumed me for so long. It’s a question with no easy answers, a path fraught with uncertainty. But as I navigate this new terrain, one thing remains constant: my passion for this story, for Gino’s unwavering pursuit of freedom.
